学校历史:

利兹文法学校建校于 1552,建校已有 500 多年的历史,是一所在当地享有美誉的私立学校, 也是英国专业提供大学学前课程及英语语言教学的领先教育机构,面向英国本土学生和国际 学生提供传统 GCSE、A level 及学术英语课程。学校久负盛誉,已成功输送数千名学生进入 英国及其他国家顶尖高校学习,同时涌现出很多耳熟能详的国际知名校友。建校以来,学校 宗旨为不断鼓励学生,激发学生潜能,使他们在学术提高的同时,实现个人的自立和成熟。 校园占地面积 70 英亩。

 

地理位置:

学校所在城市利兹是一个文化、艺术和商业城市,同时也是欧洲最佳绿化城市之一,公园、 高尔夫球场和绿化带约占全市总面积的三分之二之多。喜欢艺术、体育和娱乐的同学,也可 在利兹找到一系列超一流的设施和国际水准的活动项目。利兹还是英国除伦敦外向个人提供 教育机会的最大基地,拥有利兹大学和利兹市立大学等著名院校。校园位于利兹市内,距利 兹市中心 5 哩,交通十分便利,利兹火车站就在利兹市中心,火车站门口就有大巴和出租车 服务。学校门口也可乘坐巴士直达利兹火车站,乘坐出租车到达利兹火车站也仅需不到半小 时。乘坐出租车到达曼城国际机场仅需 2 小时,到达伦敦希思罗机场也仅需 4 小时左右,火 车也有直达,交通便利。

 

学校特色:

名人事迹:多位在教育界极具影响力的学者都毕业于本校。Sophie Taylor 在去年举行的 英联邦运动会的游泳项目赢得金、银牌;Hannah Starling 在去年举行的英联邦运动会的跳 水项目赢得铜牌;Gordon Benson 获得 2015 年欧洲运动会和欧洲铁人三项赛殊荣;Adam Memon23 岁成为政府经济智囊。

责任感: 利兹文法学校非常有社会责任感,每年根据不同情况对全球需要帮助的孩子以 及学校进行资助;

【学校社团】 舞蹈,象棋,计算机,唱诗班,演讲,电影俱乐部,辩论,急救,户外运动,登山,滑雪, 爱丁堡公爵嘉奖,青年企业创业等 音乐,辩论与运动是学校的强项,学校举办了不少这些方面的社际比赛。本校跟 LEEDS GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL 合唱和演出话剧;学校在夏季和冬季的主要运动分别为篮球和板球;学校鼓励 学生参加军事训练及到国外学习语言和参与运动巡回赛等。 学校校内设施完备,校内拥有优雅宽敞的图书馆 LAWSON LIBRARY, 也有攀石墙,田径场和 其他各种运动的专业场地。
